Ordering Information
You can request an estimate by filling out our online form or speaking with one of our team members over the phone.
For digital jobs, we estimate a turnaround time of 1 to 3 business days, while for offset press work, it usually takes 3 to 5 business days after proof approval. If you have a deadline to meet, please let us know when you call for a quote so that we can check our print production schedule and ensure that we can deliver on time.
Printing
We set up your job and then send a proof via email for your review. A proof allows you to make any necessary changes and ensure that your print job comes out exactly as you want it to. By carefully inspecting the proof, you can help ensure an accurate, flawless delivery of your print job.
No. While some printing methods may be more cost-effective than others, we are happy to work with you to determine which printing method is best for your project.
No. We handle all of the "back-end" production for you.
Not usually. White is the default color of paper and is recognized as the absence of ink. The only time white is considered a color is when printed on a dark paper stock.
We have a large collection of “house” stocks in our production area. If you have a specific style in mind, we can check our in-house inventory to see if we have something that meets your needs. For special stocks or materials, we may need to place a bulk order with suppliers, which may require a longer turnaround time.
The Pantone Matching System (PMS) is a color reproduction standard that uses unique, independent numbers to identify colors across the spectrum. The use of PMS allows us to precisely match colors and maintain color consistency throughout the printing process.
Printers and monitors use different color models - RGB for monitors and CMYK for printers. CMYK can't reproduce all RGB colors, but matches about 85-90%. When an RGB color is out of CMYK's range, the closest color is chosen. Some programs allow choosing which color to replace, others don't.
File Requirements
We prefer PDFs (Portable Document Format) with a minimum 1/8” bleed and crop marks. Most office and design programs allow you to save or export your files into a PDF format. Occasionally, the original file may be needed if artwork edits are required.
Please set your photos and graphics resolution to 300 dpi. Images pulled from the Internet are usually low resolution (72 dpi or 96 dpi) and may appear pixelated or blocky when printed. Save all photos in CMYK mode when possible, as images saved in RGB mode may not print properly. If you are unable to save your image in CYMK mode, please let us know.
Please send fonts as outlined objects in your original file. If your program doesn't allow this, packaging or sending us the fonts will work as well. If you have questions about how to send your fonts properly, please call us, and we’ll be happy to assist you.
