Glenbard Directions Program Mural Installation Case Study
To prepare for the 2025-2026 school year, a district-level alternative education program serving at risk juniors and seniors unveiled a powerful new mural that became the heart of their school identity. The artwork features the mascots of the district’s four high schools, symbolizing the visual embodiment of resilience, unity, and transformation.
CHALLENGE
This unique program serves students from multiple schools, many of whom feel disconnected from their original campuses. To strengthen their identity and purpose, the school sought a way to foster belonging and pride while celebrating the diversity of its student population. A bold, symbolic mural became the ideal solution.
SOLUTION
A custom mural that seamlessly combined the four high school mascots into a dynamic composition. The design reflects strength, forward movement, and collaboration—perfectly aligned with the program’s core value: “Forward Progress—Together.”
IMPLEMENTATION
Core Integrated designed and illustrated the mural from the ground up, working closely with the school to bring their vision to life. The process included multiple rounds of concept development and refinements, ensuring every element was aligned with the school’s identity and goals. Once finalized, high-resolution artwork files were prepared for production and seamless on-site installation.
